The Cost is Rising
However, we must also share with you the increasing cost of this mission. Persecution is intensifying across North India. As of now, 12 states have passed anti-conversion laws, criminalizing Gospel workers. The consequences are severe—pastors and believers face up to 20 years in prison without bail under false accusations of forced conversions.
Many churches have had to shut down their physical gatherings due to fear of attacks and government pressure. In some states, even online meetings are punishable by law. Pastors are being targeted, arrested, and defamed simply for preaching the Good News.
Despite these challenges, our mission remains unshaken. NICM missionaries remain steadfast, willing to pay the price, even unto death, to make Jesus known in every village, and in towns and hearts that have not yet heard of the Good News. This is our calling, our joy, and our purpose. As long as we have breath, we will proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, come what may.
Now more than ever, we need your prayers. Please continue to lift up our missionaries and pastors to the Lord, offering them protection and strength. We also need your prayers for those imprisoned or falsely accused, we are seeking their release and freedom. Additionally, we need your prayers for open doors to share the Gospel even in restricted areas, as well as for families impacted by persecution. Finally, we need your prayers for revival in the hearts of those who oppose the Gospel.
